with a Purpose
(Alert, Lock down, Inform,

by UNC Charlotte Campus Police
The FBI reports that active
shooter incidents are on the rise. This training session is designed to
teach you how to recognize potential workplace violence indicators; describe
actions to take to prevent and prepare for potential active shooter incidents,
and know what actions to take if confronted with an active shooter.
This training will empower you to
develop a proactive approach to surviving a violent intruder situation until
law enforcement arrives. Following A.L.I.C.E model, instructors will help
you create a plan to make informed decisions about responding to a crisis event
when information about the exact location of the assailant is limited.
Following this training workshop, you will better understand when to run, hide
or fight, and how best to do so in the event of a crisis in your workplace or
in a classroom. You will also have the opportunity to participate in an
interactive practice scenario.
Food and non-alcoholic
drinks will be available to all that attend.
