Panelists in this program consider the advocacy opportunities and ethical challenges that arise in representing crossover youth who are experiencing school-based problems (suspension, unmet special education needs, etc.) while delinquency or criminal charges are pending or likely.

This program specifically explores how ethical issues may arise related to rules of competency and confidentiality, among other rules of professional conduct, in the course of trying to zealously advocate for youth who find themselves in multiple systems.

Planned by the NCBA Juvenile Justice & Childrens’ Rights Section

Courtesy of the NCBA Juvenile Justice & Childrens' Rights Section, the first 25 section members receive complimentary registration. This program is available both live in Cary and via webcast. Lunch is provided for those attending in person.

Attendance is limited to NCBA Juvenile Justice & Childrens' Rights Section members only.
